Radical Democrats Praying for Christian Voter Apathy in Midterms
As the Republican Party’s first-ever national midterm convention gets underway in Dallas, Family Policy Alliance CEO Craig DeRoche says the central question for November may not be campaign spending, candidate quality or even the political environment—it may simply be whether Christian voters show up. The convention, running September 9–10, is designed to energize Republicans ahead of the 2026 midterms, with President Donald Trump, Vice President JD Vance and more than 100 other speakers participating.
- Christian voters lose elections when they stay home, DeRoche argues.
- Motivation could determine whether Republicans hold their coalition together.
- DeRoche says Christian turnout must become the convention’s central message.
- Radical candidates benefit when conservative Christian voters become disengaged.
- The midterms may hinge on whether Christians actually show up.
