From Islamist demonstrations and immigration-related tensions in France to recurring unrest and clashes over radical Islam in Britain, Europe is confronting a crisis of identity, rising antisemitism and questions about the future of Western civilization. Bestselling author and biblical prophecy expert Jonathan Cahn, through his books The Dragon’s Prophecy and The Altar of Pergamon, offers a provocative framework for examining whether today’s turmoil reflects deeper patterns in history, and whether Europe is overlooking warnings from its own past.
Jonathan Cahn Attacked on Flight 618! By The Duct Taped Man! The True Demonic Story!
In The Dragon’s Prophecy, Cahn explores the spiritual dimension of world events, focusing on Israel, the resurgence of antisemitism and the October 7, 2023, Hamas attack. His work asks readers to look beyond immediate headlines and consider the larger forces, ideologies and prophetic patterns that may shape the course of nations. The mainstream media even refused to identify the riots for what they are, which is a consequence of unfettered Islamic immigration.
That perspective takes on a striking historical dimension in The Altar of Pergamon. The book centers on an enormous ancient monument associated with pagan worship in Pergamon, unearthed in the nineteenth century and transported to Germany, where its reconstructed structure became the centerpiece of Berlin’s Pergamon Museum. Cahn identifies the altar with the biblical “Seat of Satan” (Revelation 2:13) and draws attention to its unveiling in 1930, the same year Adolf Hitler’s Nazi Party made a dramatic electoral breakthrough.
Hitler became chancellor in 1933, setting Germany on a course toward dictatorship, war and the Holocaust. Cahn examines the timing and symbolism surrounding the altar’s arrival in Berlin and the rise of Nazism, inviting readers to consider what these historical intersections might mean through the lens of biblical prophecy.
Today, Europe faces a very different set of circumstances, but troubling questions have returned. The renovation of the Altar of Pergamon is near completion and scheduled to open to the public on June 4, 2027 on Museum Island in Berlin. Jewish communities are confronting renewed threats and antisemitic incidents. Governments are struggling with immigration, integration and Islamist extremism, while protests and clashes in cities across the continent expose deep divisions over national identity, religious freedom and the limits of democratic tolerance.
Could the events unfolding across Europe be understood as more than isolated political and social crises? What connections, if any, does Cahn see between the forces explored in The Altar of Pergamon and the prophetic warnings examined in The Dragon’s Prophecy? And what can the continent’s history teach its leaders about recognizing ideological extremism before it escalates?
The comparison is not that Islam or Muslims as a whole are equivalent to Nazism (though Islam aligned with Nazis in WW2). Rather, the question is whether Europe is adequately confronting movements that promote antisemitism, reject democratic principles or threaten the security of Jewish communities.
Jonathan Cahn is available to discuss the historical symbolism of the Altar of Pergamon, the rise of Nazism, biblical prophecy, the resurgence of antisemitism and the unrest now challenging Europe. His two books provide a compelling starting point for a conversation about whether the past is offering warnings that the present cannot afford to ignore.
